In the Spring of 2021 following a second period of lockdown life began to return to normal although mask wearing was still mandatory.  For two weeks I charted the news by making a fresh mask to wear and embroidering it with the day’s leading headline.  This series of masks, shown discarded in the environment, as so many were,  is a direct record of time and place inviting the viewer to reflect on our collective and individual behaviours.
